One of the highlights of our year at St. Andrew's is "Believe!" An idea that took root in 2005, the Believe! 10K/5K and one mile walk had its glorious debut in 2006. Working closely with McKinney Main Street, Believe! runs through historic downtown McKinney and is scheduled on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. That way, we help "jump start" the Saturday of McKinney's annual Dickens of a Christmas festival. In addition to being a great outreach, we like that this event is bringing tourism and real economic benefit to McKinney. Proceeds from the race go to Holy Family Episcopal School's scholarship fund. One of McKinney's oldest institutions, Holy Family uses the scholarships we provide to help families who could not afford quality child care to get it. We've heard wonderful stories of how single mothers have been able to return to work because of what this race has accomplished.
